The Canadian Biology Olympiad (CBO) is an annual competition organized by the Canadian Biology Olympiad Committee under the University of Toronto. It selects the top 4 students to represent Canada at the International Biology Olympiad (IBO).
CBO is open to secondary school students in Canada who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Students must be enrolled in a Canadian high school and be under 20 years of age on July 1st of the competition year.
The CBO National Exam consists of multiple choice questions covering cell biology, genetics, plant biology, animal physiology, ecology, and biosystematics. Top performers are invited to a training camp for further selection.
CBO preparation requires mastery of Campbell Biology (12th edition), understanding of IBO syllabus topics, and extensive practice with past papers. Our coaching program provides structured preparation with expert guidance.
