International College Spain (ICS) is an English-medium international school in La Moraleja, Alcobendas, in affluent north Madrid, founded in 1980 and part of Nord Anglia Education since 2014. It serves around 1,000 students aged 3 to 18 from more than 70 nationalities.
ICS runs the full IB continuum — PYP (from 1999), MYP (from 1995) and the IB Diploma (from 1980) — and says it was only the 13th school in the world to offer the IB Diploma, and the only school in Madrid teaching the IB in English from age 3 to 18.
In 2025 the IB Diploma cohort averaged 35.5 points — about five points above the global average — with 20% scoring 40 or more and one student achieving a perfect 45. DP students choose a subject from the Sciences group, supported by the school’s science laboratories.
