The International School of Milan (ISM) is an English-medium international school founded in 1958, today part of the Inspired Education Group and based at a purpose-built campus in Baranzate, northwest of Milan, opened in 2013. Its student body spans around 60 nationalities.
ISM offers all three IB programmes — PYP, MYP and the IB Diploma — as a continuum for students aged 2 to 19, and describes itself as the longest-established IB school in Italy and the only school in Milan to offer the three programmes as a continuum. Its IB Diploma authorisation dates to 1997.
In 2025 ISM’s IB Diploma cohort averaged 34 points, with a top score of 44/45 and 69% of students earning the bilingual diploma; named leavers progressed to Imperial College London, the University of Manchester, Columbia University and École Polytechnique de Paris.
