Curriculum — NBO depth, IBO syllabus, Pre-Med bridge

An academic-year programme built backwards from the IBO syllabus. The same depth that produces national-team olympiad standing also produces an exceptionally strong Pre-Med foundation — students don't need to choose between "olympiad track" and "medical-school track."

Stage 1 — NBO Foundation

Months 1–4

Campbell Biology end-to-end, calibrated to NBO-tier depth. NCERT-line-by-line discipline (the same 99%+ NCERT-aligned methodology that produces Indian top-rankers) gives students a textbook-perfect base before olympiad complications.

Campbell Biology (12th ed) — 56 chapters at olympiad depth
NCERT-line-by-line revision discipline (Cerebrum signature method)
Weekly diagnostic MCQs to map weak areas
Diagram-from-memory drills — a NBO-tier requirement

Stage 2 — IBO Syllabus + Past Papers

Months 5–8

Direct mapping to the official IBO theory + practical syllabus. Layered Alberts (molecular biology), Lehninger (biochemistry), and Raven & Johnson (biosystematics + plant biology) reading. Past-paper saturation across 10+ years of IBO-affiliated national exams.

IBO syllabus mapping with weight per topic
Alberts MBoC + Lehninger + Raven supplementary reading
10+ years of past-paper drills — USABO / BBO / SBO / IBO
Free-response writing with weekly written feedback

Stage 3 — Pre-Med Foundation Bridge

Months 9–12

Olympiad-grade biology depth converted into Pre-Med readiness. Curriculum prepares students for UCAT (UK), MCAT (USA / Canada), BMAT-equivalents, NEET (India / NRI), and direct-entry medicine essays. Strong olympiad standing is also a national-tier credential for Ivy / Oxbridge / NUS / Imperial / UofT applications.

UCAT / MCAT / BMAT mapping — biology section coverage
Pre-med essay & interview prep (BS / MD pathway)
Practical-round simulation (cell biology, plant + animal anatomy, biostats)
College-application support: olympiad credential framing

Frequently Asked Questions — Netherlands

Who is this programme for in Netherlands?

This programme is built for international-school students in Netherlands — typically IB, IGCSE / A-Level, AP, or American-curriculum students whose schools do not enrol them in IBO selection (Dutch national process). We deliver an Olympiad-grade biology curriculum (NBO-tier depth + IBO syllabus mapping) plus a Pre-Med foundation that supports later UCAT / MCAT / NEET-equivalent applications.

What is the schedule like for Netherlands students?

Live online classes scheduled in CET / CEST (UTC+1/+2). Typical batch is 6 hours per week — two weekday evenings + one Sunday slot — calibrated to fit alongside a normal IB / AP / A-Level academic load. Recordings are available if a student misses a session.

How much does it cost?

€2,290 per academic year for the Pursuit tier (small batch, weekly live classes, full study material). Ascent (small batch with 1:1 reviews) and Pinnacle (1:1 mentoring with Dr. Shekhar) scale from USD $4,500 and $6,000 per academic year. There are no hourly or monthly rates; instalment billing is available.

Are the faculty actually AIIMS-trained?

Yes. Cerebrum is "An AIIMSonian's Initiative" — taught personally by Dr. Shekhar (AIIMS) alongside biology specialists trained in the same institutional tradition. We teach biology only, to olympiad depth, in the small-batch faculty-led model that has produced Indian top-rankers for over 15 years.

My child is at a Netherlands host-country school (not international curriculum). Should I still consider this?

Yes — the curriculum is designed to be useful both for international-curriculum students and for host-country-school students who want olympiad-grade biology depth alongside their school programme. IBO selection (Dutch national process) eligibility specifics are best discussed in your free counselling call.
