Kerala has among India's highest science-stream participation and NEET-attempt rates, yet very few Kerala students attempt the biology-olympiad track — for a Kochi student the NSEB→INBO pathway is an uncrowded route to a national credential. Students from Kerala DHSE (state-board) schools should plan an NCERT terminology-alignment phase first, since NSEB is set at NCERT Class 11–12 depth; CBSE students from well-known city schools such as Bhavan's Vidya Mandir and The Choice School (no affiliation) can go straight into Campbell-level work. Kochi hosts IAPT-registered centres, so the November paper is sat locally — enrolment runs through schools or IAPT centres in the August–September window.

Yes — NSEB syllabus overlaps ~70% with NEET Biology. The additional depth (molecular biology, genetics, ecology at university level) actually strengthens NEET scores. Many students do both.
