NSEB Coaching for Kolkata Students

NSEB → INBO → IBO pathway from Kolkata

The Indian Biology Olympiad pathway starts with NSEB (22 November 2026; enrol on iapt.manageexam.com by 14 September). About 300 national scorers qualify for INBO (theory-only, late January-early February). About 35 INBO students attend OCSC at HBCSE Mumbai. 4 students are selected for India's IBO team. Cerebrum coaches the full pathway with Campbell Biology (canonical), Alberts Molecular Biology of the Cell, and Lehninger Biochemistry.

Kolkata's science tradition meets the olympiad track

Kolkata carries one of India's deepest pure-science traditions — the city of Bose and ISI — and its schools reflect it: La Martiniere, St. Xavier's Collegiate, South Point and DPS Ruby Park are among the best known (no affiliation with any). Despite that, biology-olympiad coaching supply in the city is essentially zero; serious NSEB aspirants train online with pan-India cohorts. WBCHSE-stream students should plan an NCERT-alignment sprint first (NSEB is NCERT-anchored); ICSE/CBSE students can begin Campbell-depth work immediately. Kolkata hosts IAPT-registered centres for the November paper.
